Messhof is at it again with another update for Blood Dungeon, which just so happens to be one of my favorite games of the year.
Patch v2026093002 dropped yesterday, and this one features Yung Venuz from Vlambeer’s Nuclear Throne. Another great title that’s still going strong all these years later. Checks notes. Yeah, it’s been almost 11 years since it was released.
I’ll keep this quick, as a new update means more reasons to jump back in. For those new to the world of Blood Dungeon, this 2D platforming autoshooter is on sale as part of the Steam Autumn Sale, and there’s a demo too!

FEATURES
| New Character | Nuclear Throne’s Yung Venuz joins the Bunkhouse Annex, earning more money as he levels up and receiving a bonus brittle boost every five levels. |
| SMG | Yung Venuz starts with an SMG that sprays bullets in the general direction of the nearest enemy. |
| Crossbow | Unlock a crossbow that fires a high-powered bolt at the enemy onscreen with the most health. |
| Boiling Veins | A new wasteland charm that prevents death by explosion, although explosions can still reduce you to your last heart. |
| Airhorn | Use the airhorn with the use button for a little extra style. |
| Dodge | A new spell that gives you a chance to completely dodge damage from a hit. Upgrades increase the chance, and it is not affected by luck. |
| New Quests | New quests have been added for the newly introduced items. |
