MYCOPUNK leaving Early Access on October 20

Devolver Digital had a busy day today at the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct. I’ve already posted about Ball x Pit, and now I’d like to introduce you to MYCOPUNK.

Maybe some of you are already familiar with this title, as MYCOPUNK entered Early Access on July 10, 2025. For those not familiar, MYCOPUNK is a fast-paced cooperative FPS where robotic exterminators battle a planet-wide fungal infestation, combining chaotic combat with extensive weapon and ability customization. 

This game can be played entirely solo, as I’ve been doing. However, its combat and character abilities are designed with cooperative play in mind. As a solo player, you can host a private game and adjust difficulty settings to make missions more manageable.

I’ve heard some describe this game as ideal for fans of the Borderlands series. Perhaps you’ve grown tired of the wasteland? Are you up for trading in skags for fungus? Is that a step up or down? We’d debate if I had comments enabled, but alas, I do not.

With its cooperative PvE shooting, fast movement, and build customizations, MYCOPUNK will also appeal to players who enjoy games like Deep Rock Galactic and Risk of Rain 2.
