I’m probably like a lot of people who have a bad habit of scrolling socials before bed. Can anyone resonate with that daily routine? Over the last few days, a game that has caught my attention at night has been Battle Princess Overdrive from Monster Bath Games Inc.
The Tokyo Game Show wrapped up recently and a playable demo was on the show floor. Judging by their socials, they had a good showing and many stopped by the booth to play the game. Currently, there isn’t a release date and only Steam has been mentioned as a release platform.
Battle Princess Overdrive is a pixel-art run-and-gun style game. Old heads like me might think of Metal Slug right away. However, Monster Bath Games Inc. appears to be kicking up a notch with their own spin on the fast arcade-style side scroller. The game features Madelyn and her sister Sofia. You can play solo or local couch co-op. There will be weapon upgrades, a bullet dash mechanic, and boss battles, all set in a backdrop of medieval and futuristic settings.
